A member presses a button, and the factory issues a document
A member joins the cooperative, makes a contribution, places an order or votes. The factory picks the template for this action, fills it with data and produces a finished document.
The platform is installed on your cooperative’s website. Members sign up there like on any other website and join the cooperative remotely. The board adds apps from the catalog, and members use them to take part in targeted consumer programs. Every action a member takes in an app is executed by a smart contract, produces a document with an electronic signature and appears in the reports. This is how an ordinary cooperative becomes a digital one.
A member’s action enters on the left, the robot carries the document through seven stations, and the storage sits under the belt.
The robot is built from seven stations, and each station performs one operation. Together they give the cooperative legally binding document flow and automatic accounting.
A member joins the cooperative, makes a contribution, places an order or votes. The factory picks the template for this action, fills it with data and produces a finished document.
The signing key stays with the member. The board and the chair sign their documents the same way, and every document becomes legally binding.
The robot computes the document hash and hides the data. The next station receives the anonymized document and its hash.
The smart contract expresses a cooperation standard in program code. It checks signatures, permissions and the conditions of the action, then changes the state. The member is admitted, the contribution is credited, the order is open.
The record is stored on the network nodes and stays unchanged. Any participant verifies the authenticity of a document by its hash.
The full document with signatures is kept in the cooperative’s database together with the register record. The board and the member have access to it.
Every action creates a ledger entry. The robot builds reports from the entries for the audit committee and government agencies and gives the board analytics on the cooperative.
ISTOK is built for the board of a consumer cooperative, its chair and board members. ISTOK works as a robot: it issues documents from members’ actions, keeps the accounts and builds the reports, while the board makes the decisions. Below is the path of one member through the ISTOK interface, from sign-up to the registers.

Signatures (3)
Signing up on the cooperative’s website takes ten minutes. ISTOK admits individuals, sole proprietors and organizations, fills in the application automatically and guides the member through every step up to the entrance fee.
At sign-up ISTOK creates an advanced electronic signature for the member and protects it with the member’s password. The member signs the application on their own device, and the board verifies any signature in the document register.
The application is added to the board agenda automatically. Board members vote from their own devices, the chair approves the decision, and ISTOK issues the board decision with signatures.
After the board decision ISTOK adds the member to the register with the date of admission, status and documents. The board finds any member by name, tax ID or organization name.
The wallet is the single entry point for share contributions and is linked to the cooperative’s bank account. A member tops up the wallet and receives refunds on their own desk. The wallet runs as a standard targeted consumer program and is part of the core, and the board sees every payment in the payment register.
The application and the board decision are stored in the register as one package. The board opens a document, sees the checksum and the verified signatures, downloads a PDF and presents it to the audit committee, a court or the tax office.
The board, the chair, members and the accountant work at their own desks, and each of them sees their own pages. The “Switch desk” button opens a navigator across desks, pages, members and documents. An app adds new desks to the navigator.
Targeted consumer programs, procedures and document templates are built into the platform. The methodology is standard, open to review and improved continuously, so the board passes any inspection with confidence.
Every member action creates a ledger entry. ISTOK builds reports from the entries for the audit committee and government agencies and gives the board analytics on the cooperative.
A board can keep the paperwork by hand while the cooperative has up to a hundred members. Beyond that the volume of documents exceeds what manual work can handle, and ISTOK becomes the only way to run the cooperative.
The blockchain executes smart contracts — cooperation standards in program code — and keeps a record of every action. Every action on the website enters the blockchain through its own smart contract.
Member, board, meetings and wallet are available to every cooperative from day one. Together with the cooperative’s database they make up the core, and the data stays on the cooperative’s server.
A member presses a button on their desk. The website issues a document by the standard and collects the signatures, and the blockchain executes the action and keeps the record.
Contributions and payments from the cooperative’s bank account are recorded in the blockchain, and the reports are built from the records of members’ actions and sent to the regulators.
Order Desk, Blagorost and Education Desk sit next to the core desks. Members get new actions, and documents and reports pass through the same blockchain.
The board adds apps from the catalog as needed. The blockchain stays the same, and the board runs the whole cooperative from one system.
The blockchain is shared by all cooperatives, and it executes smart contracts — cooperation standards in program code. A cooperative performs every action through a smart contract, which checks the conditions, permissions and signatures on the documents. The smart contracts are the same for all cooperatives.
Order Desk is installed on the website of each of them. The app runs on shared smart contracts, so its documents and actions are the same for everyone.
Orders, deliveries and acts pass from one cooperative to another through shared smart contracts. This forms a federation around the app: the Order Desk network, the Blagorost network, the network of any future app.
The smart contracts receive the actions and the documents of a deal. The registers and the database of each cooperative stay inside it, on its own server and under the control of its own board.
The open-source core is free for a cooperative to run on its own: the license allows this for non-profit organizations. Paid plans deliver ready-to-use ISTOK with apps and a monthly document volume. Federation adds all VOSKHOD apps and runs on a cluster inside the cooperative’s perimeter with no charge for documents.
On the self-hosted plan the cooperative gets the core for free and works without paying for documents or members. The delivery is limited to the core, so the cooperative builds, runs and maintains any apps and their smart contracts on its own. Such a specialist costs about $2,500 per month on the market. The Start, Standard and Scale plans include access to the app catalog with one app in the plan price, a server, launch, support and a monthly document volume. The cooperative spends this volume on new members or on document packages in any proportion. Other apps are added from the catalog. Everything above the included volume is paid separately at the price in the table. Federation runs on a cluster inside the cooperative’s perimeter with all apps, and its document flow is free at any volume. When the monthly workload regularly exceeds the included volume, the cooperative moves to the next plan.
On the left of the diagram are the cooperative’s actions, on the right are VOSKHOD’s actions. On the self-hosted plan the cooperative launches ISTOK on its own following the documentation.
The cooperative joins VOSKHOD as a legal entity. The organization signs up in the member portal and fills in the application online, including the plan and the domain of its future website.
Apply →The board reviews the application and admits the cooperative as a member. The decision is issued as a document with an electronic signature.
The agreement sets the plan, the set of apps and the support terms. The chair signs it with an electronic signature.
The cooperative enters the server address provided by VOSKHOD at its domain registrar. The setup follows step-by-step instructions and takes a few minutes.
The team installs ISTOK on the server with the apps of the plan. The cooperative’s website opens on its domain.
The chair completes the initial setup in the interface, invites board members and prepares the website for members. The setup goes step by step and needs no technical knowledge.
The board holds meetings and makes decisions using templates, and existing members of the cooperative receive electronic signatures through an import.
The VOSKHOD team maintains ISTOK, installs updates and advises on methodology under the terms of the plan.
Demo access to ISTOK is open on the public test network. Sign in as the chair and see how ISTOK produces documents and runs a cooperative. To see ISTOK through a member’s eyes, sign up and admit yourself to the cooperative. The ISTOK interface and documentation are in Russian for now.
